Along with the constant touring I was happy to see my studio projects doing well. Last week we were glad to discover that Google declared my song 'Jeene Laga Hoon' as the most viewed song of the year online in the Asian subcontinent. The response to my other new singles, 'Rang Sharbaton Ka', 'Be Intehaan', 'Channa', 'Aa Bhi Jaa', 'Hai Na', 'Janam Janam', 'Bairiyaa', 'Tu Khaas Hai', 'Zameen Jaagti Hai', especially when I perform them in my concerts, is also very humbling and a great reward to all the people who work behind the scenes on the productions between Pakistan, India & Dubai.
In between my studio productions, I performed multiple dates across my own country, Pakistan, and I must mention that, although I love taking my music across the world, there is no feeling that tops performing for your home crowd. It's always special to play music in the land where it all began for me. In fact, whenever I perform in Pakistan, as far as possible, I try to schedule my concerts across university grounds and connect the power of the arts with the youth. I also agreed to give a special performance at the Lux Style Awards, after a gap of 6 years. It was a humbling moment to be awarded the 'Music Icon of the Year' at LSA 2013. Later in the year, I produced a Live concert TV special with PTV which was televised nationally, even while I also recorded 3 music videosfor various film productions in India. |
