 Topic: Sad News -Demise of Ghazal Legend Jagjit Singh

I was shocked to read this morning while surfing through net that Jagjitji is no more... Wheneva there is mention word 'ghazal', the first name that comes to mind is his. So let's all pay a tribute to him. With a sad heart..its painful to say R.I.P. Jagjit Singh.
Would share one of my favourite ghazal in his momory...His demise left a vacuum in the music world. We all will miss his presence..

i hv been hiz fan snc childhud...its coz my father z a fan of jagjit singh..n m grown up hearing to his wordz n voice,,,..it seemed boring for me while i wz small...bt it strted taking a place in my heart wen i entered in teenage...specially his MARASIM....n WO KAGHAZ KI KASHTO WO BARISH KA PANI....awsm ..the LEGEND...will b remembered always...n i will always humm hiz ghazals....

the legendary jagjit singh.....2nd prsn which is more lyk a family to me.....its a prsnl loss to me aaj ye topic dekha to raha nhi gaya.........whn he was hospitalised i was praying for him alot then one morning i found him no where around me.........his songs .......evn if he only hum it was a treat to hear.......aadee bhaiya oso paid a tribute to him......i was jst left wid tears........luv his all songs...unse milne ka khwaab dekha tha....mere bhaiya mile they unse bt my bad luck mai tab bhi studies mai bsy thi...dat is d only regret of my life.... gul se lipti hui titli ko hila kar dekho aandhiyon tumne drakhaton ko bhi giraya hoga....dilenaadan na dhadak ae dilenaadan na dhadak koi khat leke padosi ke ghar aaya hoga....all tym fav. collection
